Thoughts and Prayer for Today

"Daily Spiritual Journey "

"Some torment themselves seeking ways of discovering the art of loving God. These poor souls do not know that there is no method or way of loving Him other than doing what is pleasing to Him."

"This Day In History"

525 – Death of St Brigid of Ireland at Kildare.

Youth today

"Values, Hopes and Dreams"

Reflect upon your present blessings of which everyone has many; not on your past misfortunes of which all have some.

Today's Schedule -
Wednesday February 01, 2012

Today the feast of St.Brigid is a day to reflect on all our present blessings and all the good around us. She had time for everyone including the poor but above all she inspired people to greater things.

Surnamed "the Mary of the Gael," St. Brigid was born at Faughart, near Dundalk. She took the veil in her youth and together with a group of other women, she established a nunnery at Kildare, the first to be erected on Irish soil, thus becoming the spiritual mother of all Irish nuns.
