Thoughts and Prayer for Today

"Daily Spiritual Journey "

"Be resolved to remain in the presence of God by means of a complete divesting of self and surrender to His holy will. Each time you find your spirit straying from this precious company, bring it back gently. This love consisting of simple confidence and the repose of the spirit on the Paternal bosom of Divine Goodness contains all that one could desire to please God."
- St. Francis de Sales

Youth today

As we journey through Christmas/New Year its time to relax and take it easy.

We can use all that’s good and positive as areas of growth and potential.

Today's Schedule -
Sunday January 01, 2012

Sunday, New Year's Day, is the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God and also the Naming of the Child, Jesus, a special day for the Society of Jesus. In addition, it is a celebration of World Day of Prayer for Peace..

"The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."

"Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest, and in our souls take up Thy rest; come with Thy grace and heavenly aid to fill the hearts which Thou hast made."

As the Octave of Christmas draws to a close, and as a new year begins, we see in these wonderfully selected readings the depthless love of God continuously poured out onto us. Each of today’s readings reminds us in a slightly different way that we are all called to be children of God, and to come and worship him in Jesus.

World Day of Prayer for Peace
* The LORD bless you and keep you!

* The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!

* The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!

Note: Next Sunday, 08th is the Epiphany of the Lord.

As we begin this New Year why not check in on all that’s good and positive in our life.... The message of the gospels reminds us that it won’t all happen today, but most certainly will over time.
