Thoughts and Prayer for Today

"Daily Spiritual Journey "

"To be a servant of God means to have a great charity toward one’s neighbor and an unshakeable resolution to follow the divine Will in all things, trusting in God with simplicity and humility, bearing with one’s defects and patiently tolerating the imperfections of others."
-St. Francis de Sales

"Just be yourself"

‘It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures’ ~Andre Bessette

It’s with all the small bits and pieces put together that God creates something special.

That something special is you.

Meditation:

Jesus is full of compassion for us in his unconditional love for us. Even when it seems impossible, he still shows us the way and nourishes us with his love.

The Fourteenth Day of Christmas

St. Raymond of Penafort

Blessed Raymond was born at Barcelona, of the noble family of Penafort.
He is famous for his work in the freeing of slaves. He wrote five books of Decretals which are now a valuable part of the Canon Law of the Church. The Summa Casuum, which is about the correct and fruitful administration of the Sacrament of Penance, is the most notable of his works.

For St. Raymond's feast we should remember that, "carolling and story telling belong to the whole Christmas season. Hospitality and giving to others also must continue if true Christmas joy is to remain.

"Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful " Ps 149:1
