Thoughts and Prayer for Today

"Daily Spiritual Journey "

"In prayer, it is well, at times, to apply ourselves to praising and loving God, resolving to please Him in all things, rejoicing in His goodness and in His being what is, desiring His greater honour and glory, recommending ourselves to His mercy. Or we may simply place ourselves before Him, contemplating His greatness and mercy and at the same time considering out own lowliness and misery. We then leave it up to Him to give us whatever He pleases, for He knows better than we what is good for us."
- St. Teresa of Avila
