Thoughts and Prayer for Today

"Daily Spiritual Journey "

"A man of prayer is capable of everything: Hence it is very important that missioners dedicate themselves to this practice with great affection, be cause without it they will accomplish little or nothing, whereas through it, more than by letters or persuasive speech, they will be capable of touching hearts and winning souls to their Creator."
- St. Vincent de Paul/b>

Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

Mother Teresa was internationally famed as a humanitarian and advocate for the poor and helpless. For over 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity's expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries. Following her death she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.

"Like Jesus we belong to the world living not for ourselves but for others. The joy of the Lord is our strength."

Labour Day - God's great work is the creation and redemption of the world wrought through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The one essential work in which we are all called to participate is God's transforming love.
